Mt. Timbak or what others call as Mt. Singakalsa is a mountain located in Kabayan, Benguet, Philippines. The mountain stands about 2,717+masl (pinoymountaineer) and can be done as a day-hike from Baguio City, Philippines.
Hiking this mountain is not that hard since the way going up from the drop off point is paved. There is just few kilometers going up the summit where you will walk along the vegetable gardens but with a clear foot trail going up. The only dilemma with this hike is when you did not bring a proper attire/gear that will heat you up and protect you from the cold weather and strong wind (you will end up freezing).
So here’s my team for this hike (including the two foreigners from Switzerland for the bus stop photo ops):
And for this hike’s gallery, I got these shots along the way:
Aside from reaching the summit, part of the trip is the visit to the Timbak Mummies, however, during this time, the keeper is not around so we were not able to see the mummies.
We only had this groufie for this time.
